30A Paddle Club: Custom Luxury Pickleball Paddle
A custom luxury pickleball paddle was designed and 3D printed as a one-of-a-kind gift for Jim Wright, blending aggressive competitive energy with upscale 30A coastal lifestyle aesthetics. The paddle features full UV-printed artwork on both sides, inspired by Gulf Coast sunsets, vintage beach clubs, bourbon culture, and premium resort branding.

Overview
The design combines cinematic tropical imagery with bold typography and luxury sports branding to create a collectible paddle that feels more like a private club artifact than sporting equipment. Side A emphasizes high-energy visual impact with a dramatic sunset, pickleball action, and oversized “JIM WRIGHT” typography. Side B shifts toward a refined beach-club atmosphere with elegant branding, coastal lounge scenery, and a custom “30A Paddle Club” identity. A matching elliptical JW handle-cap emblem completes the premium look with metallic-inspired coastal detailing on a dark leather-textured background.

CAD / Design Process
The paddle geometry was first modeled and refined in CAD to establish the printable surface area and contour boundaries. Artwork layouts were then designed specifically around the paddle’s asymmetrical profile to ensure proper visual balance after trimming and UV application. Safe zones were established to keep typography and branding within production tolerances, particularly for the 180mm × 180mm centered design area. High-resolution UV graphics were developed with a cinematic poster-inspired composition while maintaining edge-to-edge print continuity. The handle cap emblem was separately designed as a scaled elliptical badge optimized for detailed UV reproduction on a 44mm × 34mm surface.

Prototype rounds, fabrication notes, and review decisions are tracked as the project moves through the studio workflow.

Final Outcome
The final result is a premium custom paddle with a distinctive luxury-coastal identity that merges sports performance culture with high-end beach-club aesthetics. The project successfully transformed a functional 3D-printed paddle into a personalized collectible piece with strong visual storytelling, professional branding, and production-ready UV artwork.
